About Mike Satterfield
Mike Satterfield holds a Lexington County seat. He spent 33 years in education as a teacher, coach, assistant principal and principal, including as principal of Chapin High School. He was elected in November 2022; the race went to an automatic recount, and he was certified the winner by 16 votes. In his campaign he made teacher pay a priority and said he wanted to restore the district’s academic reputation.
